South Tucson City Manager Position Remains Unfilled

South Tucson council does not decide on a new city manager.

The South Tucson city council voted 4-1 to postpone deciding on a new city manager till next Monday, February 4th. After a lengthy executive session in which the council re-interviewed candidates John Vidaurri, Terry Hinton and John Schempf two motions to hire went un-seconded and did not receive a vote. Councilman Herman Lopez moved to hire John Schempf and Councilwoman Rita Rogers moved to hire Terry Hinton. There were no motions to hire Mr.Vidaurri.
