A couple being extradited from Henrietta, New York in connection with the homicide of Frank Bligh, 72, on April 16, 2019, in Tucson, escaped custody last night in Blanding, Utah, according to a Tucson Police Department press release.

Blane Barksdale, 56, and Susan Barksdale, 59, “overpowered two security officers” and escaped in a red GMC Sierra pickup truck, Arizona license plate number: 127XTY, with damage to the front passenger side and rear bumper, the release said.

Blane has numerous tattoos on both arms and hands and the couple is believed to be armed and dangerous. Investigators have information the couple may be traveling through Arizona, however, they are not certain of the couples’ direction of travel.

Investigators are asking anyone that may have seen the Barksdales to immediately call 911 or 88-CRIME.

TDSN attempted to contact U.S. Marshalls’ offices in New York, Utah, and Phoenix but had not received any additional information by the time of publication.
